mine finally arrived today, and yes i am playing with it.

i do have a question:

how do i get the drop shadow to work?

i have read the book about this, select object, then go to object menu and click drop shadow

well i clicked on my object and then the object menu, but drop shadow is not an option for me? i tried other items also, to see if maybe just some items are not available with drop shadow, but no, so far i just can't get the drop shadow to open for any item.

any help from the experts please.

ok i think i have the problem however, not solved, well sort of not solved.

images and things i insert myself, i can add drop shadows to. but so far i can not add to the images already in the program.

so i decided to try something, i saved an image and then i found it and inserted it again (but from my computer) and then i can crop out the white square and then i can add the drop shadow. a lot of work for that though.

i do like the preset temps. i have so much traditional stuff i may just use some of these as ideas.

but back to this thread: if anyone does know how to get a drop shadow on a preloaded, in this program image, i would appreciate any help.

Eagles, I'm now curious about your last WDW trip.

I've noticed this too.....you can do shadows for photos or if you bring in your own paper and use it for a mat. But I decided to play around with it for a minute before I responded back to you and I realized when I was trying things that a lot of the items already in the gallery already have a subtle shadow.

i think what you are saying jillyfish, is that i am right? items already there will not have the drop shadow option?

well i suppose i will just have to work around that then. lol




and my vacation :eek: i doubt i will be doing any pages for that trip. i am actually trying hard to forget it, trying to block it out from the memory bank. it was so bad, that i wanted to come home on 16jun! (the day after arrival). maybe i should do a tr to get it out of my system.
