So my mom and I had a few weekend projects and here is one of them! This is the Fish Extender that I will be bringing on the cruise.

I didn't know either! There was so much talk about them on the DIS and it actually turned out to be fairly easy to make once we figured out the machine. I'll be bringing goodies to put in the pockets (of this one and any others I find - hint, hint!)

Here you go...you can see what they look like with discriptions of them. I'd never heard of them before either until they started talking about them on the Disboard a while back. I've been on other cruises and have never seen any, must only do these on DCL, which I've never gone on.

Keisha, you are right there hasn't been a whole lot of interest on the DIS thread but I figured it would be a neat thing to do anyway. There are a couple of us that will have them.

Shelly, glad you like it! I know I didn't end up using your favourite character (sorry!) but I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I'll let everyone pick their pocket.

okay, for those of ur SR'ers who want to participate in the fish extender gift exchange, there's a list in the DISboard cruise for our sailing...just a handful of us now:cry:;)

come on over & sign up...it'll be fun...really it will:D

believe we set a deadline of 10/9th to signup in order to allow time to get the goodies...which don't have to be elaborate or expensive. Little surprises to help make the cruise more fun. some do themed ideas, or things representative of their home towns, etc.

ps from posts i've read, several have just used a gift bag attached to ur Fishie outside ur door if u don't want to bother making one

These are so beautiful. We are planning our first Disney cruises (yep, cruises) for summer 2010 and I can't wait to find a group to do these with. I just got a sewing machine too....maybe this will be my first sewing experience.

Can someone post directions here? Or PM me?

I really like the folds/pockets of the black and white one, but that might be way out of my league??
