I have been avoiding this forum because my DH's boss changed his vacation without telling him. My husband found out a couple of weeks ago when he went into the vacation schedule to remove someone's vacation who had been deployed. Imagine his shock when he saw his vacation ended on the 23rd now because his boss was taking his starting the 24th. He pleaded with him, but when someone works for a company for 39 years they start to feel entitled. So our vacation that we needed so bad was gone. Well it was still there, it just started a couple days earlier and ended earlier. I feel bad that I won because I know how much people wanted it. Not to mention that we have had a couple of crappy years and my DH and I really needed this, too. It has been very emotional here in my house.
Tricia--I tried to reply to your email and I got the automated "we don't monitor" response. I think someone is taking advantage of you. Disney policy is you can cancel up to 8 days out and get 50% back. I called them and my reservation has been cancelled. If that was going to mess things up then it already has because my reservation is no more. Just thought you should know if that wasn't the information you were given.
I hope all of you have a great time.
Well that just stinks. I am so sorry. I would have no respect for that boss at all if he was mine
Tricia, can you just pick an alternate? I'm sure there would be a few volunteers :D

I am very sorry to hear you can't go - we were all so excited for you when you won. Yeah, it certainly wouldn't make an employee go over and above the next time. What a poor example of a supervisor.

ME ME ME...Now that I would have been up for!! That and the JetBlue sale would have been fabulous!!
I would have gladly taken your DH's spot!

Unfortunately, because of how close to cruise time, Disney would not let us put someone new in that room unless one original person stayed in it too. They are really strict about this crap.
