Is anyone doing The South Beach Diet?

I did SBD a couple of years ago and had much success with it, and really loved eating and cooking that way, but as usual a vacation set-back ended my efforts. I have the books and cookbooks and I think I'm going to start back to it when I get back from my trip to Hawaii... the Monday after that will be 8/13. A co-worker is doing it, too, so I'll have real life support.

Anyone else doing this?

I lost 20 pounds on South Beach a few years ago. I try to stick to phase 3 but that doesn't always happen and 10 of those pounds came back. I had surgery earlier this year and was on 6 week recovery......so that didn't help either.

I have a dairy allergy so I can't use many of the receipes. But I have learned to do some creative stuff with vegtables and beans.

I think it's time to get back to phase 1.

Good luck.....good you have support. My DH and I usually do it together. Much easier to stick to it if you have support.

I usually follow Atkins more closely than S.B. I just find it easier.

Have a great trip. I am never succesful in sticking to any diet while on vacation!
