Q re martini tasting - are advance ressies needed? Is there a max capacity and how much was it? Did you have to sign up as soon as you boarded or could you wait? Looks like fun,

DH also would like to try a beer tasting this trip - did they offer this? See above questions. :D

Thanks!

There is a beer tasting but I don't think any of us did that one.

The other tastings needed advance sign-up. I think some did it right when they got on board...I did it late the night before. There were about 20 of us for the martini tasting. Not sure if there was a max.

One of the tastings was $12 the other was $15 (wine and martini) but I can't remember which is which. Then again after both those tastings, I wasn't remembering much!

We would have liked to have done the beer tasting too, maybe next time. I don't think that they ever hit their limit since its held in large rooms with lots of seating, but i would reserve it sometime the day of boarding.

Martini was $15. I reserved it as soon as I got on the ship before lunch, since we were right there by guest services.

They do reach a maximum - it didn't happen to me on this past cruise but it did on the one before. I made my reservations as soon as I got on board.

I have not done the beer tasting but DH has done both on the cruises we have been on. There are two beer tastings on the Western Cruise - both are on sea days. They present different beers for each tasting.

Thanks, ladies, for the tips. I guess I need to find a 4 night Navigator online to see if we can fit into our schedule. Now, to convince DS, age 12, that he has to go to the club possibly 3 times (1 for brunch, 1 martini and 1 beer) :D

Jamie, please let me know when you get back how your DS12 found the clubs. My kids LOVED them (couldn't get them out of there) at 7 and 9, but our next cruise they'll be 11 (DD) and 12 (DS) and not so sure they'll be just as enamored. We'll definately want to do Palo for dinner, brunch, and also want to do Martini tasting again and wine tasting so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!
