I figured I would go ahead and start my pre-trip report since we are leaving in a week and I know next week will be crazy busy for me. Here is a little background on us.
Characters:
Me (37) Disney lover and planner. Went on my first trip to Disney in 2000 and I knew I would be spending a lot of time there with my kids when I had them. I love thrill rides and shows and every second of my time spent in Disney.
DH (33) Loves thrill rides and scary things and excitement and handles Disney because they provide those things to him. Also, loves good food and restaraunts.
DD (7) Disney lover like her mother. Girly girl who loves jewelry and make-up more than anything in the world. Very sweet and mom's helper. She loves to be appreciated and will do anything for you if you show her you appreciate it. Just like her momma.
DD (5) This is my thrill seeker like her daddy. She loves a good scare. She is daring and will climb and jump off of anything in her way. She is also stubborn as the day is long. She wouldn't wear a ponytail or barret for the first 4 years of her life and now she won't wear anything but pig tails. Everyday and everywhere.
DS (4) He is a thrill seeker as long as it isn't scary in the normal way. Dinosaur and ITTBAB are scary but TOT is fun. Go figure. He is stubborn also and tends to throw a fit if he is over loaded. He is also my sweetest child and he will show affection to anyone who needs it. He also is a clown and loves to make people laugh until their sides hurt.
We have gone as a family to Disney twice. The first time was in November 2005 for my oldest DD's 4th birthday. We then skipped a year and in October 2007 my DH and I went for my birthday and our Anniversary. We then went back in December 2007 with the kids.
We had decided we weren't going to go in 2008 and our next trip would be October 2009 when we would do a Mega trip to Wilderness Lodge and MNSSHP. Disney blew that out of the water.
In August I recieved information about Disney Visa card holder discounts for certain dates. I realized one of the dates was for Thanksgiving. We had been planning on taking the kids to Tennessee for TG but I realized that this would be an awesome trip to Disney. We got reduced rooms and free dining and we were off and running.
I decided to suprise the kids since they would make me crazy asking when we were going if I let them know we would be going soon. We talked about the trip in front of them but always under the premise it would be for out October 2009 trip. We are going to be staying at POR 11/21 -11/29. We are going to throw them in the car around 11pm on 11/20 and start driving. Since my kids are young and will sleep most of the way they won't know that we aren't heading to Granny's house who lives 2 hours away. Once we pull up to the gates we will suprise them with where we really are going. If one of my family members doesn't ruin it before then.
I have been crazy busy since I decided to try to make T-shirts this time. I made 30 tshirts and I am really proud of how they came out. I don't think I would do this again though LOL it was very time consuming. I love the shirts though and I am hoping to finally get a great photo of my whole family.
