Mine just did that too, and he bargained in the time off for Vegas in Feb and the cruise, no problem. Money will be tight, but hey, I'm doing surveys, all my christmas shopping and as many offers as I can to help pay for it. That works.

From this list I think I'm counting 8 separate cabins. Is that it so far?

I may have a couple coming as well, but they won't know for sure until January!! ACK! I'm hoping the costs won't go up too much by then.

8 separate cabins that have booked so far. I don't think that Janet has booked yet (have you?). Plus, we haven't booked the prize winning cabinet yet. So we should be at 10 soon. I know we have others who are just having trouble getting the deposit money quickly enough. And I almost talked someone at the PTO meeting last night into going with us as well. LOL!

I haven't booked yet. We keep swapping back and forth lol it went from a family trip, to a couple trip and now we are looking at me going with a friend or me, my friend, my sister and my sister in law. I just cant get anything nailed down yet. It is very frustrating!

I'm not a Disney fan either, but I'm going. I understand its a top of the line cruise ship so i want to try it. There are lots of adult only places that i will be hanging in.

You are right about that Cindy. It's definately subtle Disney. And I am so looking forward to trying out all all the adult only areas!!

When we went last October, we had an area to ourselves COMPLETELY on the adults only beach. It was a little bushed in area of sand with umbrellas and chairs. Probably 30 chairs. And no people!

We're hoping for a family cruise in June 2009. I didn't even think about booking that onboard, but that is a great idea. :) I wanted to book another cruise when I got off the Wonder last month, but didn't have the deposit money. I'll have to save up this time.

YAY! Gail called a little while ago and she gave me my room number. I don't remember it so I hope she is sending paperwork ROFL but I do know that she got me one of the few Deluxe Inside Cabins that have a window LOL. Her exact words were, "Its an obstructed view but it is a view" Hopefully I wont regret having a view at all LOL. I might end up wishing it was like Vegas Casinos with no windows so you don't know what time it is :angel:

She said its totally awesome, like something from NY. I know me and Tricia are interested, anyone else?

Apperantly he though it was a 7 night cruise and now thinks it's ridiculous that we should pay the same amount for 3 nights on Disney when we can pay the same price for 7 nights on Royal Caribbean. I am SO upset right now. You all have fun without me :(

Oh Mandy, I'm so sorry! Did you tell him that you can't earn free credits from SR towards Royal Caribbean though?

My hubby should email him... after his first experience with DCL, he refuses to cruise any other line at any price. He is so impressed with Disney it doesn't matter. Maybe you can still change his mind!

Mine thought this too, since we've always done Carnival (did a Royal Caribbean too and hated it), but, I've talked to a bunch of travel agents, and though this is Disney, they have told me that this is such an upscale cruiseline that it will not compare to the others I have been on, so, I'm going to see for myself. I'd rather pay for qualilty than quantity.

Updating - My Mom has decided to join us as well. :sunshine: As of right now, it will by myself, DD8, my Mom, and my Dad. I talked to Gail this morning about possibly adding another cabin also. I'm still trying to decide if I can leave my middle child, DD who will be 3-1/2 at the time, or if she will have a fit because she's not going. If I decide to bring her along I will have to get another cabin.

Decisions, decisions ..... I'm going to wait until after the first of the year and our Christmas Disney trip to make the deposits if I decide to get the extra cabin.

No infact, DS is now concerned about Pirates! They even wanted to make sure that our room is not near the bottom of the ship because most of the people on the Titantic with "lower class" accomodations died! They are being VERY brave though because they don't want to miss all of the fun.

I hope to stay at Pop... waiting until I earn enough on SR to pay the room deposit. Not sure if we'll do DDP --- need to find out how the credits will work with Food & Wine at Epcot (does anyone know?).

Along the same lines... if enough of us are going to be at WDW before, do you think people might want to go together and rent a shuttle or something to get to port that would be cheaper than DCL transfers?

had ressies @ Loews Royal Pacific Resort (we have U APs) but was shocked to realize that Halloween IS their high season. We are coming out even (factoring in food, hotel) vs the gty cabin on the cruise. Luv Loews & U, will still do 1 day @ U (without FOTL boo-hoo) and HHN either Sunday or Wednesday.

Believe they'll have the MNSSHP on Sunday & Tuesday that week; will probably just buy the 2 nights tix and forego MYW tix since we didn't pick up APs this year as we're going to DL in June (gotta streeeech that vacation $ lol)

snack credits can be used @ the booths for (small) food samples - cheese soup @ Canada's stand, etc

it's fun, i just hate standing in long lines for food-we were last there over Columbus day & it was sooo hot & humid; just wanted to find shade

i have been seriously checking into this. i have never been on a civilian cruise, but i was a bit shocked at the final cost, when i look at the prices for the rooms, it seemed ok, 300, 600 etc, wow, ok those sound good, but i was shocked when the final total comes up, all those added charges.

well anyway, i was talking with gail, and i was going to put the deposit down, until i went into my bank account and did not have enough (have to pay bills first). so i am still debating.

and i am not sure if i do go, if i will be solo or with child, or with hubby, more than likely w/o hubby though.

Because I know the real names of the cruisers not the forum names I can't be sure of this list, but, I think maybe jusacuz has cancelled. If thats not right, let me know. Also, icartjetta has signed up and hopefully all will go well for her and DH to make it.

Yes, she did cancel :cry: -- she posted on the "other" board's cruise meet thread that she had actually booked a 4 night over other dates I believe.

Yes. :( I did. After looking at cost & days off DH would have to take, it made more sense to do a 4 day in September. I'm sorry.
