I'm just being silly here.... I'm 26 weeks pregnant and have had 3 sonograms already. But this little one just does not want us to know the sex! The first sono was too early to tell. The second the baby was curled up face down the entire time. On the third one, the legs were so tight together it wasn't happening! It's actually starting to be pretty funny at this point! I have to do the glucose test tomorrow at 8  so the DR said we'll do another sono after that and maybe the baby will be really active and let us take a peek. But, I'm just not sold on it yet! :rotfl:
We have a 3 year old DS and I'm really fine either way. Even if we don't find out until the birth, it's ok. But then on the selfish side... we're going to WDW at the end of the month and I just want to buy some cute Disney baby stuff with my SR money! I know I can buy something generic, but that's not the same. It would be great if we knew and I could buy a matching stocking and ornament and all that. But then again, at this point, I'm not sure I am going to believe the technician anyway. :rotfl:

So, wish me luck! :)

I totally understand what you mean. DD9 was very shy until almost the end. Finally, she "opened up". But, I work in the Nsy and we were having a run on boys being girls and girls being boys so I didn't want to pin my hopes on her actually being a girl. Finally, I broke down and bought a girl going home outfit. She came a little early and the only thing that fit was a generic outfit. The funny thing is that at that time the necklaces with little kids and birthstones were big. So, knowing she was due end of Feb, I bought one. She came in January.:rotfl:

Congratulations on your coming baby. The only thing better than a trip to Disney World is a new baby and all the planning.:sunshine:

Let us know what the baby is - if you find out. My kids were not shy. They would have done the splits if possible :rotfl: .

There is not many things more fun than shopping for your own little one! I get saddened when I know that I will never shop in the baby/toddler section anymore. So, enjoy it while it lasts!

Based on that description I would bet you $50 that the baby is a girl!

Congrats by the way!!

Well, after having a boy, I think we both really wanted another boy- he is easy and it's familiar. But, my gut says it's a girl so we'll see. My son was definitely not shy or modest on his sonogram! We'll be thrilled with either, but I think I need to prepare more if it's a girl. But, a healthy baby is definitely the goal!

My In-laws are actually mad at us because we don't know- as if it's in our control! :rotfl: With DS we knew, but didn't tell anyone...just might do that again! :rotfl:

Since the beginning, we've been asking DS if the baby is a girl or boy. At first he went back and forth between "Princess" and "Pirate"- but I think he said Princess a little more. Then after the last sonogram, he looked at the pictures when we were leaving and said "That's a boy" and named him Batman. I asked him today and he said "Minnie". So, um... not putting much faith in that right now, but it's entertaining to ask him. He's excited that we're going to the "baby DR" and he gets to see the baby.

Arob414- that sounds like something that would happen with us! DS was actually 6 weeks early so he shook things up a bit! This one is due Dec 15th (2 days before my birthday) but will be a repeat c-section so probably early December.

I know I'll use those Disney GC's from SR to buy SOMETHING.... just gotta wait and see what they have!

One of my sons was born on 12/15, right on his due date!

All 4 of my boys were very proud to show their gender on the sonograms......usually the "legs closed tight" always means a baby girl. :)

disney girl - you should be doing your glucose test about now....I am anxiously awaiting the news if you all found out if you are having a Batman or a Minnie. (PLEASE change the names :) )

Sorry for not posting sooner!
Well....the theory of getting the baby to move around after the glucose test didn't hold true! Which amazes me because this can be one active little one! I on the other hand was feeling very ill! The baby was yawning and stretching on the sonogram which was very cute. The technician said if he had to guess, he would go with GIRL. But he didn't give any percentage (like 80% or whatever). This time, I think the baby was just in a bad position for him to get a good shot. At this point, I'm still thinking it's a girl, but would be completely happy with a boy- so it's all good!:) I just want healthy... and preferably not a full 2 months early!

My son has a Mickey stocking from WDW and I had wanted to get one for the baby as well as an ornament like his, but those might have to wait until next year- haven't decided yet. We also got Daniel a small Mickey that he has had since his first trip at 5 months and I want to get either a Mickey or Minnie for the baby. I actually have 2 extra Mickey's stashed away, so I'll just pick up a Minnie. I'm sure I'll find some little onsies or outfits that I'll want too!

linanglab... will definitely choose other names! My son and DH have both been banned from baby naming! They come up with some real "winners":rotfl: DH does however have "veto right" as he puts it. I need to really start working on names now! Harder when you have to come up with two just in case, but I'm working on it!

My Mom doesn't want to know the gender (or even what we think) and she is going to do the bedding. With my son, he was supposed to be a July 4th baby and I went with red, white blue and it came out really cute. This time I'm leaning towards chocolate brown and cream and once we are 100% (guess that's birth lol), we can add either blue or maybe pink. I'm just not a pastel person and not overly crazy about pink and purple so more neutral works better for me! :) Finally got everything settled from our move so I'm working on decorating the nursery and Daniel's room! Oh, and come October I'll be doing some serious SR shopping to get Christmas out of the way! I don't want to have to worry about that in the last few weeks!

Thanks for letting me share!:sunshine:

Carla, glad to hear all was well with baby! :) Sorry you felt bad, those test always made me sick. I had a hard enough time keeping anything down and those just seemed to make it worse! :( I love the idea of the brown/cream with either a blue or pink. Very Posh!! Take care of yourself!!!
