I don't know if anyone else uses AT&T for their landline/DSL service. Mike got a flyer in the mail over the weekend advertising AT&T DSL service without requiring you to have a landline and its only $24 a month no contract!!!
So I called today since I'm already a customer (he is not) and asked for the deal and yes it is available. It is not widely publicized (good luck finding it on the internet page) but they will give it to you if you call. If anyone needs the info on the flyer let me know and I will post it later tonight. It will cut my monthly bill down $60 each month!!!

I'll spare you the intro and get to the part that matters:
AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet Direct Express:
No home phone service is required
No activation fees and no term commitment required
Up to 1.5 mbps downstream speed (surf the web at speeds up to 25x faster than standard dial-up)
download everything from music to photos
free modem with mail-in rebate
Just $23.99 (+ taxes) per month
Call 1.866.463.0786 Mon - Fri 8am-7pm, Sat 8am-5pm
If you have an account they can transfer you to the right people since that number is for new customers.

I responed in the other thread but the gist of it was did she install any toolbars or software (like a special IE program) when she installed the yahoo service?

Wow, thanks for posting this. We have a seasonal camper that we use from May 1st through Columbus Day weekend, and we have decided to put a landline with DSL in there this year. I am already an AT&T customer at home, but not a DSL customer. I am definitely going to have to check this out. I think I'll probably qualify as a new customer for the camper, but I'll also see if they'll bundle it into our preexisting account. The $24 info gives me ammunition to make a deal!
