Just wondering if anyone has had any non-scale victories lately. I had my first one last night.

I normally like to work out Fri-Sun, Tues, and sometimes Thurs (I'm working on changing the sometimes). I got home and did not want to work out. I wanted to go out to eat. Well after going through the inner turmoil about do I want to sabotage myself by going out or do I want to stay in and be good I did it. I stayed home and ate semi-healthy food and did not go out to eat! It was really difficult because Mike is good about not making decisions for me and he made me make this one. I felt like I accomplished something even if it was just a one time thing. I face another one today. I"m hoping to say no to chik-fil-a breakfast. I think I can do it.

Oh that's an awesome victory!! :cooldance: Good for you! Yes, all non-scale victories (regardless of what they are) should be celebrated! I know for me it helps to be in the right mind set & if I'm suffering w/my "inner turmoil" (love that btw) it can be VERY easy to just give in!

So I'm very proud of you for NOT going out to dinner last night! Way to go C!!

Let's see....my non-scale victory is that I brought a (frozen WW) lunch on Tuesday & went out to eat instead....I had other lunches planned on Wed & Thurs & now it's FRIDAY! PAYDAY! WOO HOO! I should go out right?! NO! I remembered I have a lunch & I will eat it!

So I brought some yogurt for dessert & an apple for later today! Baby steps back to scale victories right??!!

Again congrats!! :p

So its 1pm and I have not had ANY Chik-Fil-A breakfast. I went out for lunch but had a grilled chicken breast sandwich (dry no cheese) with Baked Cheetos and Water. So I stayed healthy while eating out. :)

Congrats Jen on your non-scale victory. I love the feeling of having some will power over my choices.

Congrats to both of you. I know how hard it can be to pass on Chik-fil-a! It is one of my favorites.
I have a non-scale victory but it is more my sons than mine. He likes to take his lunch to school about 3 times a week. When I was fixing his lunch yesterday he chose apple slices with a small fat free carmel dip instead of cookies!! :cooldance: that is also what he chose for his lunch today!

Yay!!! That is an excellent choice for your son to be making. The habits we learn when we are younger really stick with us as we get older. I always remember growing up my main snacks were apple slices and carrot sticks since I had a friend battling leukemia and that is all her mother would allow her to have. To this day I grab a carrot or an apple over junk food. My brother on the other hand isn't so good about it but he was much younger than my friend and I and didn't have the same snacks that we had.

My shape magazine this month has an add for laughing cow lite on apple slices. I might give it a try this weekend.
