It just started snowing here in Rhode Island.
I'm always excited with the first snowfall. Makes me excited for the holidays and all the hustle and bustle. By February, I can't wait for winter to be over. :rotfl:
Of course.........I don't have to drive today.......guess that makes a big difference.
My grandson is here and he's watch Rudolph on DVD. Guess I'll wrap Christmas presents. The snow puts me in the mood. :sunshine2:
Hope everyone has a nice day.

Its really warm here in NW Ohio. Kids just need a light jacket or a sweatshirt! I was surprised when I woke up and it was as warm as it was. Enjoy the snow!

We had our first snowfall and delayed opening for the schools yesterday. The kids had so much fun playing in the snow since it wasn't bitterly cold.
Now they are saying it will be 62 degrees on thanksgiving though!
Crazy weather!

I am JEAOUS. Whenever it is cold enough to snow here there is never any moisture. Then when it rains it warms up! Today there is a beautiful blue sky and boy is it cold out. Supposed to be dry all week and cold at night. I so want snow. Send us pictures!!!!!

Sorry, gang, I'm just going to bask in 75-degree temps and love being where snow is something I can see on the mountains surrounding the valley without having to touch it! That's what I love about this season!

Wow! I have my windows opened here. I would have to agree with Michael, its about 75 or so here. Though there is no snow on the mountains, cause we don't have any! :rotfl:

Snowing here in Mass as well. I was putting my nephew down for his morning nap when my youngest came running in all excited because it was snowing...I said 'oh that is great honey' thinking that she might have seen one little flake and when my nephew was settled in (I did not dare open the shades!) and looked out dining room window I saw the glorious snow. I can say that right now because there will be no shoveling involved in this, but talk to me in Jan/Feb when I am DONE with all of the shoveling!

They're expecting 70s all week long here! My 5YO was so excited she was able to wear skorts this week without tights!
I hate snow..... that's why I moved out of RI and hated VT form the first snowfall. But I tried!!!!!!!
Of course, driving in rain that makes you feel like you're in a VERY SLOW car wash is no fun either, but we haven't had much rain lately.
ENJOY!!!!!

LOL- I actually did send some snow to a pal in FL once! Packed a plastic container full and packed in dry ice. It made her day-actually arrived not as a solid ice chunk, but as semi solid but crushable snow! One of the goofiest things I have done but it brought smiles all around! I'm sure we will have more than our share as usual in central WI -- last year during the week of Christmas I did not see dh for almost 4 days straight - he works for one of the municipalities and was plowing snow almost around the clock - came home to sleep a few hours and then back out. He was one tired puppy! :)

It snowed here in CT this morning too, what a mess....I hate snow and all the stuff they throw down all over the roads. Don't get me wrong, I love living in New England with the change in seasons but if it never snowed again, I would be happy! ;)

75 degrees here and tomorrow is supposed to be almost 80!! I do love the warm weather but I also love to see snow, so I am jealous too. I am just like a little kid when it snows here, even went snowsledding when I was eight months pregnant with DD. Hmm, maybe that's what's wrong with her!!:rotfl:

All of who want snow, need to come visit me. :sunshine2:
Sunshine MEET!!! :rotfl: Wouldn't that would be great!!!
It snowed most of the morning into the afternoon and only stuck on the grass. It rained so there is only a little bit left here and there and the roads never got slippery.
I did wrap presents and organized some presents. Hope you all had a nice day!

It's not the first snow, that happened back in the middle of October, but we are supposed to get snow overnight tonight. I still get giddy every time it snows! Of course, this is the first time in four years we've lived some place where it ~does~ snow.

All the kids at school were excited to see it snowing today. Although my dd was mad, because it didn't snow where her school is. For Kathie's and Lori's benefit...and anyone else who is familiar with RI, I teach in West Warwick, and dd goes to school in North Kingstown. So closer to the water got zilch.

My son went to URI in South Kingston. It was unusual when he told me classes were canceled because of snow. They hardly ever got the snow we got. I've never been on the beach when there is snow. I bet it is beautiful.
We're in the "Norwest hills" as Gary Ley calls them. That dividing line where it'll be 4 inches more than the rest of the state.
When I was a kid I was so jealous when Salty Brine would annouce "No school Foster/Glocester". I think every kid in Rhode Island wanted to live there. :rotfl:

I spent many a snowy morning walking up the "elephant walk" wishing we could have had classes at URI cancelled.
And I was just telling some other bus stop moms about "NO SCHOOL - Foster/Gloucester." Ahhhh, the memories.....
As we were driving to my mom's right over the SC/NC line, we were noticing the trees with all the fall colors. Who said there aren't seasons in the Carolinas?????? We just have an early NE fall that can last until Christmas.
