Need some help!
My neighbor just invited us to her daughters graduation and party afterward. We are not all that close (not family or close friends) but she did babysit for us for two years and I really like her. I haven't been in the loop with gifts like this for a long time. What is the going rate these days? Is it money or a gift? I need help!

High School? College?
Cash or a gift card will probably be the most appreciated.

I would say 25 - 50 dollars (depending on how much you feel you can budget). If she is going on to college a gift card to their bookstore would be great!

This may sound strange but my favorite gift when I graduated from high school and went away to college was a REALLY nice bath towel. She bought a really nice brand and it was the wash cloth, hand towel and bath towel. It was a nutural color so it matched anything I got. I just couldn't afford to buy nice towels so I loved using that one.
Money or gift cards are great. Target may be nice for dorm things.

We also have a H.S.graduation party this wkend for a neighbor's son. I don't really know the son that well, but I know the mother and she is really nice to my girls. I figured $50.00 was appropriate. I would say that $25-$50 would be about right, or a gift of that value.
