Off to Cabo!

We're off early tomorrow a.m. for Cabo! It's the annual go visit the brother- and sister-in-law trip to Mexico! We've been waiting for this one for a few weeks now. I've been ready to get the heck out of dodge for a while now and IT'S HERE!!!

Bringing the laptop as I do have work to do while there (gotta earn money for these vacations, right?) so I'll check in a few times and say hello!

Have fun! I was there about 15 years ago. Everywhere I went was a street vendor with a wooden jewelry chest full of silver. My DH and I one day hiked down the deserted beach to the tip of Baja CA, I'm thinking almost a mile, but I might be remembering wrong. We were the only ones around, but when we got to the tip, a Mexican suddenly stepped out of a cave with a full jewelry chest. "A little silver for the lady?" he said.:rotfl:

Hola! The weather is beautiful down here this week. We've been quite slothful and have just been laying around doing absolutely nothing. We did a quick walk into town on Sunday (trying to get some exercise in) and the rest of the time at the resort has been in the pool at the swim-up bar, up on the balcony (where I'm writing from now) and just doing a lot of nothing.

I am getting some of my work done (transcribing a murder trial out of Atlanta; not the way most of you would probably spend your vacations!) and gazing at 3 cruise ships just off to the left. When the trial gets a bit boring (you try and be mesmerized listening to an expert witness in biotransformation of steroids!) I just get up and dangle my feet in the pool for a few minutes. HEAVEN!!!!

Well, it's back to my expert for another hour or so and then we'll toddle off to the pool bar for one of my favorite adult beverages! MARGARITAS ROCK!!!!

Dude, you are so lucky to be there and not here...it's been pretty gloomy out here again. :( So you've gone into town huh? Plan on going back in before heading home? Can you smuggle me some tacos from a place called Pepe's, it's across from the Mall. :scarf: That place is the reason I plan on returning to Cabo some time in my lifetime. Again...You are so lucky to be there!!!Have fun, be safe!

We tried to go to Pepe's yesterday for lunch. DUH! I forgot they only did dinners!!! We went to the Lobster Garden right next door. A hole in the wall with GREAT carnitas (and 2 for 1 beer!).

If I'm out tonight I'll try and stumble by Pepe's for you.... not that the tacos will make it back to L.A.!!

Tomorrow... off to Todos Santos, a GREAT little artist community about an hour north. PD threatens to shop at a small gallery we've enjoyed before. This could NOT be good.....

Oh, and we'll now be down in Cabo every 49th week of the year! It's almost as good as DVC!
