We're looking for something different this year, but cheaper then our trip to Disney in Nov. (If you ask the kids and I, we want Disney!) We've been to all the amusement parks near us, several times. Hershey Park, Dutch Wonderland, Knoebels (love it!), Sesame place, Dorney Park, 6 Flags Great Adventure etc..

I was wondering if anyone had any comments they could pass along? Also good hotel that you stayed at or know? Also how far is Busch Gardens?

If we go it'll probably be a week or almost week trip. We would like to see KD, BG and maybe hit DC again on the way back. Anything else in that area you would suggest? (we would be driving if that makes a difference)

TIA!

We went to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg while on our DC vacation in June '07. It was very nice. There were fun rides and great shows, and the park itself was beautiful. My kids 12 and 9,at the time, had an awesome time. We also went to Water Country USA while we were in Williamsburg. It was a lot of fun as well. I would recommend both to anyone visiting the area.

We did not go to King's Dominion assuming that it was very similar to King's Island. We go to KI at least twice in the summer! It is only a 2 hour drive for us.

Good Luck with your planning!

Thanks! Yeah I noticed that Cedar Entertainment who owns KD had several other parks. What I did like about KD is it had a Nickalodeon section for the kids and I think they would really enjoy that.
