As promised here is my first review of The Firm!
When you order the Firm CardioWeight System you get the weights & 4 DVDs (Hi-Def Sculpt, Cardio Overdrive, Hard Core Fusion, & Cardio Party) that each have different workouts on them. Each of the different workouts are about 40min-55min long. BUT all of those workouts also have an express option in case you don't have time for the entire workout. I think that's pretty inventive.
Along w/the weights & DVDs you also get some supplements (that I don't take), a guide to eating well & also something that I think is the most important thing...a guide on what videos to do in what order & which day for an entire month! That's pretty helpful to me because 1) it changes it up on what you should do each day (including days to rest) & 2) it includes using the express options, & 3) it's a no brainer to me. I don't have to worry about which video to do, they've already figured that out for me.
Ok, enough about the stuff...what about the workout...
I have just started so I can only review one workout, but I intend to review each for those interested in purchasing this (and yes, you CAN get it through SR!!:sunshine: I did!!)
Hi-Def Sclupt--55 min
I really liked this workout. The instructor was cheerful, but kept repeating "beginners no weights for you, watch Sue Mee" which I think in time would get annoying....think "squeeze those cheeseburgers out" from the Original Buns of Steel video...(come on, there's got to be someone who remembers that line)...Sue Mee is one of the people in the video that will do the workout like a beginner. I didn't use the weights as instructed, but will next time for sure. It's a pretty intense sclupting workout, but nothing too hard that I didn't like it. I really liked the way she counted out the workouts. She did them in 4 count increments for the most part & about 1/2 through the video I felt comfortable w/the counting & the movements. Oh there is an instructional portion of the video too that I'm guessing goes through the movements, but I didn't watch that...I just went STRAIGHT to the workout! I'm hard core!
I also really liked how simple the movements were. None of them really tripped me up...well one I was totally off on, but that's me...not much coordination going on here. So I was thankful I was all by myself doing this workout! :p
I was surprised when it ended because while I did feel like a great workout & I am feeling the burn in my abs today, I didn't think the 55 min would have been over already!
Overall my review would be an A for the Hi-Def Sculpt workout!
Tonight is Cardio Party! I'll review tomorrow!
Hope some of you are finding this helpful!
