As promised here is my first review of The Firm!

When you order the Firm CardioWeight System you get the weights & 4 DVDs (Hi-Def Sculpt, Cardio Overdrive, Hard Core Fusion, & Cardio Party) that each have different workouts on them. Each of the different workouts are about 40min-55min long. BUT all of those workouts also have an express option in case you don't have time for the entire workout. I think that's pretty inventive.

Along w/the weights & DVDs you also get some supplements (that I don't take), a guide to eating well & also something that I think is the most important thing...a guide on what videos to do in what order & which day for an entire month! That's pretty helpful to me because 1) it changes it up on what you should do each day (including days to rest) & 2) it includes using the express options, & 3) it's a no brainer to me. I don't have to worry about which video to do, they've already figured that out for me.

Ok, enough about the stuff...what about the workout...

I have just started so I can only review one workout, but I intend to review each for those interested in purchasing this (and yes, you CAN get it through SR!!:sunshine: I did!!)

Hi-Def Sclupt--55 min
I really liked this workout. The instructor was cheerful, but kept repeating "beginners no weights for you, watch Sue Mee" which I think in time would get annoying....think "squeeze those cheeseburgers out" from the Original Buns of Steel video...(come on, there's got to be someone who remembers that line)...Sue Mee is one of the people in the video that will do the workout like a beginner. I didn't use the weights as instructed, but will next time for sure. It's a pretty intense sclupting workout, but nothing too hard that I didn't like it. I really liked the way she counted out the workouts. She did them in 4 count increments for the most part & about 1/2 through the video I felt comfortable w/the counting & the movements. Oh there is an instructional portion of the video too that I'm guessing goes through the movements, but I didn't watch that...I just went STRAIGHT to the workout! I'm hard core!

I also really liked how simple the movements were. None of them really tripped me up...well one I was totally off on, but that's me...not much coordination going on here. So I was thankful I was all by myself doing this workout! :p

I was surprised when it ended because while I did feel like a great workout & I am feeling the burn in my abs today, I didn't think the 55 min would have been over already!

Overall my review would be an A for the Hi-Def Sculpt workout!

Tonight is Cardio Party! I'll review tomorrow!

Hope some of you are finding this helpful!

liked the review. Too bad I just am not ambitious enought to buy it. :) Where did you get it and how much did it cost, if you don't mind sharing.

Of course I don't mind! I got it through the link on SR: http://www.sunshinerewards.com/leads_sales.php?sid=8ba339131dcd3fac3d4c64f907e903 f0&aid=547

and it was $59.90, plus $19.95 for shipping so the total was $79.85...got the 7% back on the $59.90 in my SR account!! Gotta love that! :sunshine:

Good 1st review Jen. I'm very curious to see how it continues. I've been looking for something new to try and motivate me into working out. So far I'm pretty encouraged. Thanks.

Ok, time to review the work out called Carido Party...

I must say this was no party to the beginner Firm person...jeez! It should be called Assumption Party because they just assumed I knew how to do the mamba, the cha-cha, the knee dip, & many, many others....wow...I certainly was lost on this video!

I tried, I really did & I won't give up...I have to do it again in 2 days as per the 30 day calendar. But while I didn't give up, I didn't really catch on to much of what they were doing in this video. All 5 of our perky Firm instructors are in this video & they each take a different section. I must say I was more partial to my friend Aimee from the Hi-Def Sculpt video from Monday night's workout, but that may just be because I recognized her!:p

And while I didn't give up, nor catch on to the faster than expected movements & motions, I didn't stop moving either. If nothing else, I just kept marching & trying to figure out what they were doing w/their arms even if I couldn't do both arms and legs. Remember I'm NOT coordinated in any way shape or form & this video proved it. Made me VERY happy DH was not home to see me making a total fool out of myself.

I'm not going to rate this video at this time, simply because I want to give it a few more tries before I make a decision. It's harder than the Hi-Def Sculpt that's for sure & before I have go to another Cardio Party tomorrow I'm going to see if the "movements" section on the first DVD that I skipped will have some of the moves from the Party DVD because one instructor had the nerve to say "you all know this move" and I'm thinking....I don't.:(

So I'll give a grade review on this video in a few more days...

But I must say...I ache everywhere from the hi-def sculpt workout....lots of squats & ballet moves & remember I didn't use weights...can't wait to use weights & really ache!!:sunshine:

well I bet I can say I am even less coordinated then you so I am sure I would have been falling all over the place. Hmm

I like your reviews. You are very thorough.
