So I have been doing some thinking about my posts lately and realized that they were probably getting away from the original intent of my blog as a book site. Part of that is because of doing PPP and needing to do a post that isn't book related and part was me wanting to talk about current events. I realized that there is a way for me to do that and still stay book focused. So here is how I am going to do it and I think that anyone can do it for their own blog by focusing on what your blog is really about. So I wanted to discuss earth day. Instead of just creating a post about earth day I decided to make a post about earth day that also includes recommended books to read on the environment, going green and etc. Yesterday I wanted to discuss the events in Texas with the FLDS and so I started it out with a recommended book by the ex-wife of a church leader who is no longer a memeber. This way I am focusing on books but also keeping it current with them being related to current events. For those who love DWTS you could easily arrange these posts to include your topic: fashion- their clothes, food- the types of diets that would be necessary to sustain that kind of energy, finance- the costs of dancing schools for both adults and children. I am hoping that these suggestions will help us all to stay focused and keep down the categories in our blogs. They will be more streamlined and different and unique. Everyone won't be discussing the same exact thing they will be discussing the same topic but from different view points. HTH!

I think that sounds awesome. I've been trying to stay in my niche, but it has become harder. I think my problem is just staying on track with the posts. Hopefully this weekend I'll catch up and be able to post everyday. Good call~!

I actually recorded it but haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

Oh, it was so good. Makes me almost want to read the book, anyone know where it is on audio?

I did watch it. I actually watched it more than once. I didn't like it so much though. I guess I would have loved it had I watched it before reading the book but I didn't like it near as much as I did the book. That is usually the case though. I think the only movie that I have ever found to be better than the book was Silence of the Lambs. Besides that one I always end up thinking the book was better. For some reason though I just REALLY didn't like this one. Maybe because all of the emotion is tough to get across in such a short time.

Same here Janet. I always like books better than movie versions.
