I have to admit that I haven't had much time to peruse the blogs lately. So I was using some time tonight to look around. Catherine did an AWESOME job of working Revver videos into her posts. I haven't been using Revver nearly as much as I should. But her Ab exercise videos are a perfect example of how to work some content and money making opportunities into blogs.

Catherine, have you started seeing any revenue from them yet? Even a little? I know you make more when you embed your own videos, but are you making anything off of people watching the other ones that you embed?

No I haven't earned a penny off of a single one. I don't know what you have to do to make money from them (revver) but apparently its more than just having people watch your video. Maybe its a certain number of people watch a video but its not too clear on their site.

That's odd. When you go into your account, is there a place where you can see how many people have watched them?

I think I have figured it out just a little bit.

I have .37 total in Revver between my Pending Payment and Current Earnings. My stats show that my 3 videos of my own have generated .31 of that for 296 views.

After my fancy math, I figure out a couple of things:

1) The other .06 that I have made must be from the Sweet Potato video that I embedded a long time ago. It's one that I did NOT make myself. Also, I think I put up one about knives.

2) I'm making about .001 per video view of my own. So I make a penny for every 10 views. And I am getting 60% revenue share. When you put up someone else's video, you only get 20% revenue share. So you need 30 views of a video that is NOT your own in order to make .01. I wonder if you just haven't hit 30 views of each of your videos yet?

It's definitely slower money if you do not put up videos of your own. But think about if you do put up a video of your own and between views on your own site and views of people just going to revver, you get 1000 views in a year. That's about $1 per video that you put up. Per year. Assuming people continue to watch your videos over time and you continue to put up more videos, you should be starting to make a decent amount after a short time.

I uploaded my skin safety kit video there over the weekend and have not publicized it anywhere myself. It's already gotten 19 views. So apparently people must just go to revver and watch stuff.

I'll have to go in and look at the stats to see what pops up for the ones I have done.
