I started playing with Scrapbook Factory Deluxe Today:

Ok I finally got my pictures uploaded so I'll start sharing. I'll go from oldest to newest pages.
Sorority days. This scrapbook is on hold until I can get to my friend's apartment and go through her pics. Sadly I have a lot of pics of me and my ex but she has a ton of either me and our roomies or her and our roomies that I can replace the ex pics with.

I'll have to edit out my name on the other page later.

And some more. This is the book I've worked the most on recently. I need to finish it and put it in the purple scrapbook I have waiting.

Yes! Everything is traditional scrapbooking so I had to figure out how to take pictures sans flash and then upload it all.
I liked the Batgirl pictures.
You look really young in the soiririty pictures.

I was 18/19 in all of those. It was right at the beginning of my sophomore year.

Thanks Lisa. It helped that my roommate my last year of college worked in a scrapbook store during the summers and taught classes. I had a lot of fun living with her and learning to be creative. The best was the night we went into my college job when I was off (it was open at the time I didn't break in) and borrow the small rubber sledge hammer. I still have that thing and it works great for my scrapbooking. It's almost as theraputic as beating the heck out of chicken cutlets.

Great layouts Catherine! It looks like you had a lot of fun in college. I wish I would have taken more pictures during my college years.

I was quickly playing with Scrapbook Factory this afternoon while regrouping after our zoo visit and created this page. I still haven't gotten use to building a page from scratch so I went with a prebuilt template. I also can't get use to the emblishments yet so I'll probably just make some pages for now and do physical ones once I get them printed.
I pieced together pictures from various zoo trips for this one.

Difficult to use - not at all.
Understanding all that it can do - a little but I haven't sat and read the booklet that comes with it.
I'm sure you won't have an issue since you are use to digital.

well seriously i am used to my elements 4.0.
sitting here now playing with the factory is strange for me, trying to figure out things and how to get them to work is turning out to be a chore. lol
i chose a preset template also, then i double clicked to insert my photo, LOL it was hard to find my photos! i had to open my other program and then save the photo i wanted and then remember where i put it.
this so far isn't as easy as my other program. but i have only been using it for a few minutes.

Yeah I liked the premade templates where I could double click and insert pics and not worry about cropping them. I also like the built in red eye reducer and the buffer that takes the shine off faces - just remember to save after you edit and reinsert it on your page. It doesn't automatically save.
What I don't know how to do is add in the elements right yet. I have dabbled in the create from scratch and trying to figure out the right border with the right background and all the embelishments has been just as time consuming as traditional pages but at least I can delete rather than start all over!

I just saw your post and I don't even know what you are talking about yet. I'd hold out till Jill pops in. I'm sure she'll see it and might even know how to figure it out.

Ok finally got it! I spent way too long making this page but it was off and on. I was working on making a page from scratch and learning what all I could do. At the end I found even more to play with but just called it a night.
