Well, not sure if I can post the link here.....but if you do a Google search for "Disney digital kits", one of the things that will come up is a thread on the DIS with a whole list of links. Some of them are places to buy "Disney-inspired" digital kits and there are some freebies listed as well. Everything I used was a freebie.

Sorry to be so vague, but I didn't even look at what board it was on on the DIS.

I vote for the 1st one. I like looking at things clockwise so I like starting at the left seeing the experience and then in the bottom right seeing the final product.

Well let me see if I can explain this......

Each element on a page....like a ribbon or a tag.....is a separate digital image. Most of what I use is right in the Scrapbook Factory software. But you can also buy "digital kits" that have a set of images....papers and other decorative pieces that go together. When you buy them you pay for them and then are immediately able to download them to your computer. There are some sites where you can get "freebies" though....you don't have to pay anything to download them. I've only actually purchased one kit so far and I've gotten a few freebies. All the Disney pieces I've used so far (like the Mickey-head buttons and papers) were from a couple free kits.

To get an idea of what a kit is, you can look at the SR merchant A Cherry On Top in their digital section.

Jill, I just got my software a while ago, and I just started "playing" with it. It's really cool that you can start off and not even need any instructions. I'm just now reading instructions so I can get better and more efficient at the scrapping. But OMG I'm having so much fun, Thank you. I'll post some pics of the new pages on my thread soon.

The Disney elements did not come with the software. There are some out there that are "freebies" and there are a couple digital designers that make Disney-inspired digital scrapbooking kits that they sell. If you go to the DIS scrapbooking section there is a thread about Disney digital scrapbooking with lots of links.

About 99% of the Disney stuff I've downloaded has been freebies. If you store them on your computer then you can import them into the software just like you would a photo.

I haven't printed anything out yet. I just decided this week that I'm going to do a photobook of our January trip at Shutterfly....or is it Snapfish? I get those two confused. If you save your pages as jpg files then you can upload them for your book.

Check out the digital section at "A Cherry On Top" (SR merchant) and you'll get an idea of what a kit is like. It's fun to add stuff, but the software already has A LOT of stuff to work with.

I couldn't add my pictures by importing or searching either. It didn't recognize my photopass photos so I just opened the folder on my computer with the images in it and I drug the photo and dropped it on the scrapbook page and it worked.

Cathrine, I was creating a page and went to my photos to add a picture but when I clicked on my photo folder, it didn't open up.

Janet, I think I'm gonna try your way and see if it works. Did you have both tabs opened at the same time? Well, I guess you would have if you dragged and dropped. I'll see if it works.

Lisa I just had the blank document open for the page I wanted to create and then I went in to My Computer and Documents and My Pictures and found the image I wanted and opened he folder it was in. I minimized the window without closing it so that the one for the page was open under it. I clicked on the thumbnail for the photo and drug it to the page and released it and it was there. HTH!

with scrapbook factory, i have a problem trying to find my photos. not all my files show up. so i have to open another program, then find my pic and save it to a file that will open with factory.

i haven't tried one yet with a photopass pic.
