For those of you that got the Wii Fit, how do you like it so far? We got it last Wednesday and I have used it every day except today. I really like the tracking on it and it is motivating me to keep at it! In the mornings, I try to get on and do the body test and the yoga, strength training and aerobics. I've unlocked quite a few things, but haven't tried much of the new stuff yet.
I really like the step aerobics-I do that one multiple times. I just unlocked one that is "free step" where you do the step and get your cues from the remote so that you can change channel and watch TV. I think it is 800 steps in 10 minutes or something like that. The Hula Hoop is fun, but I totally stink at the soccer ball one!! After doing the Yoga and strength training, I am sooooooo sore! Those lunges are killer! But, by showing the correct posture and way to do the exercise really works- you don't need to do many reps to really feel it. My abs are getting a work out as well. So, what is your favorite thing on there so far?
I'm really pushing myself to do it at least 6 days a week. I only took today off because I was up late last night and early this morning doing birthday stuff and cleaning/ cooking. Maybe I'll log a few minutes on it later tonight! So far, I think this was a really good purchase!

Love it!!!
Actually, my entire family loves it!
I think it is one of the best purchases we've made in awhile. It really is a great workout, and there is a lot of variety.
Have you tried the advanced Hula Hoop yet?? It is killer! Who knew hula hooping could get your heart rate up like that?
I also love the balance games. It is a lot of fun competing with my dh.
There isn't much I can beat him on pertaining to video games, but I clean the floor with him on the Wii Fit!:rotfl:
I love the yoga too, haven't tried many of the strength exercises yet. The only problem is I keep staying up way too late playing!

Yes, I unlocked the advanced Hula Hoop last week and tried it out- it is killer. The first time, after doing the right side for what seemed like forever, it said to switch and I was like "what??" :rotfl: It really does get your heart rate up though! It is also fun competing with DH on some of the games- we have fun with it. When he is doing the tight rope, DS and I try to distract him- it's kind of funny! We're having a lot of fun with it!

I love it so far. I've done it everyday except Saturday. I like how it tracks your minutes not in real time, but based on each exercise you do. I was mostly playing around with the skiing and hula hoop, but yesterday I did more of the aerobics and strength training and I am SORE today! I kind of like the running in place, not really "running" so to speak, but it gave my calves a really good workout. I wish I had a treadmill so I could actually run while doing it.

Tried it at a friends place and I decided to get myself one the next week. I really loved the Yoga.

I love my new Wii Fit. I like the jogging through the park, and I particulary like the balance games, especially the ski jumping and the downhill skiing. This is not to say that I am good at them, but I think they are fun. I have lost 2.5 lbs since I started 2 weeks ago and can feel my muscles tightening. I think this is one of the best purchases I ever made!:sunshine:

Even my mother-in-law was getting into it at my house! I don't know anyone who has tried ours who hasn't love it. I like the dance step the best.

I LOVE MY WII!!!
I love my Wii and my Wii Fit. I have used it for the last few days plus we have been swimming. We are all so tired (and getting really good sleep!!)
My mom tried the Wii Fit the other day and she loved it too! We had the most fun trying to beat everyone else's scores! Talk about a workout:D
**BTW- I am still #1 on the ski jump:D

We are all still loving our Wii Fit! I think that I have done the routines on there everyday since I got it except Sundays. I do feel a little more toned so I'm motivated to keep at it! It's also fun for everyone! DH mostly plays the balance games and we just let DS have fun on it with no real purpose lol.
This has turned out to be a really great purchase!!

hmmm, maybe I'm the only one on the planet that doesn't love my wiifit??:rotfl: I've tried to love it and the problem is that I can't do half the stuff on there, I've opened up a few new things but those are even harder to do? :rotfl: I do like the running in the park, this I can do but gesh, that's about it? Maybe I'm not coordinated enough? :rotfl:

We don't have a Wii, yet. Anna has nearly $200 saved towards one, I hope she will share with me. I suggested the girls go in together to buy one. My mom thinks that is a bad idea, Grace will hog it and they will fight. So, I don't know what Grace is going to do. But, I am going to really buddy up to Anna.:D

That's what started here. DS was saving his money and was pretty close nearing Christmas. In Oct our local Gamestop had just got a shipment in, I said to DH, I'm going to go pick one up and it's going to be their "Santa" gift. He agreed bc DS would have hogged it if he bought it, and fights surely would have ensued. Smartest decision I made! lol DS also knew that even though the unit was $250 + tax it only comes with one remote. Remotes at $40 a piece, plus $40-$50 games, numchuk etc it adds up. Since we also went to WDW in Nov the kids knew that was part of their present, Santa brought the Wii and mom and dad got away with just a few presents... :)

Actually, I had been thinking about making this their Christmas gift, along with a remote and whatever a numchuk is plus a couple GameStop GC's so they could pick out a couple games. We have a GameCube with alot of games, so they would have a head start. Even have a dance mat.

IMHO it's a good idea, Santa brought it all 5 of us, so it was a family gift, between Santa and mom and dad we picked up the needed hardware and I had less plastic toys in my house! :rotfl: (Which was also one of my main motives with this!)

Santa brought ours last Christmas.
The girls know that I will take ANYTHING away if they fight over it. The one time I heard but it's my tuuurnnn!! that was it for a week! No Wii! (yes, call child services, I'm a meanie) Oh, and during that week I played as much as possible!!:D Yes, I am slightly evil:rotfl:
But I can tell you that was the first and last time they fought over something.

Same here and they know mom will take it away. My issue was that if DS used his money it would have been "his" rightfully so, so my argument for sharing wouldn't work as well as it does since it's now a family gift.

I'm having a really hard time finding the Wii Fit anywhere too! I check my local Wal-Mart just about every other day and they never have it and don't know when they are going to get it in.
I'm not paying $170 like they want on e-bay or amazon.
I'll just have to wait.....

I would wait. That would be almost double the price!! I am on the hunt for 4-5 more Wii Fits for family/friends. I guess because I found the one we have now everyone is looking at me to find theirs!!:rotfl: If I can order through SR, you bet I will!!!

If you have a gamestop call them, they get shipments in almost everyday. My local one didn't mind me calling when I was looking for the Wii last Oct. I called around 1pm after their shipment arrived. They unlike the deptartment stores usually get stock mid week. The bigger stores like Target and WalMart usually have theirs stocked for the weekend.

We have decided to go in together, as a family, and buy a Wii, this summer. Anna's wants to buy one, ASAP. I think there will be less fights if it is a family item. And, I like the idea of it not being a Christmas gift. The girls get plenty at Christmas (too much) but I try to keep the gift giving under control and a Wii with the extras needed will be pretty costly and be pretty much the only thing they would get. I am doing it for me more them. I love giving gifts, but since ever since my sis and I started exchanging gifts yrs ago, we always preferred buying several small gifts instead of one big one.
Naturally, I want to find the best deal I can, would love to go thru SR, but for the system that probably isn't going to happen, unless I go to Amazon. But, I can get the extras thru SR. We will start with one game, Legos Indiana Jones. I would love to find WiiFit, also. Will put it up for Christmas.

We bought our Wii a couple weeks ago through SR at EBGames...
There is NO money back on the Wii itself... but I still went through SR anyway.
I love the Wii sports, and I try and exercise with it daily.
My kids love Mario Galaxy.
You will want a second controller so both kids can play together.

I'm tossing around the idea of getting WiiFit for DS who will be 12 in August. Anyone else have boys this age? Do they like it? Is it "cool" enough? (I don't want to be a square mom...)

My 3 kids - DD16, DS13, and DS10 all enjoy it and think is is pretty "cool". They especially enjoy watching my mii get fat, me getting lectured, an watching me do the activities.

We've been trading out at 20 minute intervals. I like hula hoop and the dance step one the best. I'm getting better at crossing the tightrope too. Yesterday I did yoga in the morning for 20 minutes and then the others in the evening. I think I'm going to try to start that habit.

We love our Wii and looks like we're going to really enjoy the Wii Fit. I understand going slow though. We have added to ours one item at a time. We only had one control for a while and took turns. We now have 3 since there are 3 of us in the house. Next we have to buy the other 2 some numchucks.
I also subscribed to GameFly through SR and we get new games to try out before we go buy them.

I have to admit something embarrassing. I was too afraid to get back on my Wii Fit because I knew that I had gained a few pounds! So I waited a couple of weeks until I got back into my exercise and diet routing because I didn't want to see my BMI go up. LOL! Thankfully when I got on today it was not only NOT up but was down from last time.

I'm understanding this. We skipped one day last week to go to the lake and all got scolded by our trainers...to top that off I had gained 2 pounds so I got a lecture about that too!!!
I've also started doing the boxing and that coach gets on my nerves...doesn't he know anything about positive reinforcement? :rotfl:

I finally have a fit coming. I went to TRU on Friday and talked to the manager. He said they would have 20 on Sunday. He set 1 aside for me and I asked a friend to go into the city and get it for me. Then Mom is flying into the city today and she will stop in get the fit and bring it home. Then I go to her house and pick it up. But I have 1 coming.
I want to just increase my cardio and general fitness without losing weight. I hope the fit can help me with the new goal.

Well, I have been debating wether or not to buy the Wii Fit, but it sounds like everyone really enjoys theirs and it sounds like there is lots for everyone in the family to enjoy.
I haven't even priced them....how much do they run and does it include the excercise (yoga) mat or do you purchase it seperately?

Yes Ive heard of the triple deal from comcast and get the free Wii. I already have comcast triple play and the Wii. As for the Wii Fit I dont think it comes with the Yoga mat. They cost around $90 if u find them in stores. They are hard to find. You can find them of course online for a higher price. You just have to keep checking the stores to see when they are comming in. Remember that on the sunday sales ads some stores get them. Ive bought a few at Target for my family so i had to get up early to make sure i get one. You can usually see the ads at 3am eastern time for these stores (=

I had been searching for what seemed like forever for a wii fit and used the trackers to no avail. I went to pick up my new laptop at bestbuy on friday and they didnt have the security software i wanted, they told me to come back around 8 or 9 because they had a truck coming in(in all honesty the wii fit did pop into my head but i didnt want to get my hopes up). I tried calling for over an hour to see if the software had come in but no one would answer the phone(it was tax free weekend they were busy). Anyways I went up to an employee and they said they didnt get the software in, so i was a little ticked but i happened to look at a table they had set up behind him and it had a wii fit box, i figured it was empty, i said "you dont happen to have any of those in stock do you?" and he handed it to me  I said "this makes up for not having the software" :D I have exercised everyday except for today but i did do the body test today. I loooove it! I can already see a differnce in my body! I'm not sure how accurate the weight and bmi are considering i magically gained weight 2 seconds after i took the test (i took it twice in a row) but hey, it keeps me motivated none the less, i hate to see that graph line go up lol.

I really enjoy my Wii Fit. I havent been as motivated lately as I was for the first month but I have seen results when I actually do it. I love how it keeps track of your progress and my husband and I cheer each other on. I am not very good at a lot of the yoga poses but I hear that comes with practice. I have pretty bad balance and have noticed a difference. I had lost about 3 lbs last time I checked. I recommend it for anyone that is a couch potato like me!
