Just wondering if anyone was around today. Joann's online scrapbook sale ends today and I wanted opinions on a few things.
First up how often do they have these 30% off sales?
Second, now that I will be having some special moments coming up I figure I need to start scrapbooking now to stay on top of it. I found this one as a potential one for the engagement year activities:

This one for the wedding. It just seems perfect so I might as well grab it now rather than cursing next year if it's gone.

This is the one we were thinking about for the 06 Disney trip. I'm not totally sold on it (I do love Tink but I don't think she represents our entire trip) but the others I like are all 8x8 and I need something bigger. Maybe I'm just being overly picky here.

This is the one we have for the 08 trip thanks to my friend that is perfect for the trip IMO.

I like all of your choices!!! I'm not sold on the Tink one either, but I think your choices are pretty limited. I agree that since you found ones you like, you should go ahead and get them now rather than regret it later on! I really love the one you picked for the wedding- I think that one is perfect!! Actually now that our Anniversary is tomorrow, I've been thinking of going back and doing something with our wedding pics etc and might have to get one of those books!
You are sooo right that it easiest if you can stay on top from the beginning! I have kept up with the kids monthly scrapbooks- specific pics (in same chair, alone, with family, etc) along with things they are saying/ doing, their size, likes/dislikes etc. I have found it so much easier to do if I stay on top of it!
I take soooo many pictures that I prefer the 12x12 books myself- especially for vacation. I have however done some 8x8 books. I made an ABC book for my son with Disney pictures and also a book of vacation pics for him to look at on the plane ride a few years ago. They also make great gifts for the family. I don't think that I have ever really done a 8.5x11 book though.
I can't remember how often they have the 30%, but they do have somewhat frequent scrapbooking/ disney item sales- so great to stock up! I need to look through the site right now!

I love the first two.....especially the wedding one! Are they 12x12's?
The Tink one is cute, but it doesn't seems like it's "You". Maybe you should wait on that one and see if anything new comes out between now and your trip. Or maybe you will find something you like better when you are actually in WDW.
I would definitely grab the other two though.

I LOVE the wedding one, very pretty. And yes, it's better to stay on top of it from the beginning. I started a book after we got married. It was supposed to be all of our special times since dating, and then the wedding, honeymoon, first house, etc. Our 3rd anniversary will be in July and I haven't even gotten to the honeymoon pics yet! :rotfl: Funny thing is those pics are on my computer as my screen saver, so by now I'm so tired of looking at them I'm not even excited to do that part of the book!

I love the pre-wedding one. Tink is cute, but I think I'd go with something else unless you have some really great ones of her with the fireworks as that's the only time I believe she comes out. We do have a few shots of her but not enough for her to be the cover of attention.
I love, love, love the wedding one. You need to get a about three of those! Especially if you plan on scrapping your entire wedding.
I'm so far behind that it's sad. I was all caught up about three years ago! I'm determined to finish vacation 07 before we take vacation 08 this summer!

Thanks guys! I'm going to order the first 2 and hold off on Tink. I'm just not thrilled with that one like I am the one with the Fab 5 on the cover that we already have. I'll keep my eyes open to any new ones that may come out soon.

It's so good to know I'm not the only one so far behind. I was even behind on our wedding album. It wasn't even a scrapbook, I just had to pick out the pictures and decide on the arrangement, but it took me almost 1 1/2 years! LOL! Glad to see I'm not alone.

I was just at JoAnn's this afternoon and it looked like they had some new Disney stickers come out. They were the dimensional type. They also had a couple of 8x8 albums. One had I think a sillouette of Mickey & Minnie watching the fireworks with the castle in the background...I would love that one if it was bigger! But I might have to find a use for it anyway. Hopefully that means they might come out with some new 12x12's as well!
I agree- hold off on that one if you aren't 100% on it. Something else is bound to come out. And WDW does have some nice ones that don't have the year if you don't find anything elsewhere!
Guess I need to get scrapping!!

Thanks guys. I got the first and second book, some paper packs, stickers, and embellishments. This is very dangerous....

wdw does have some nice ones. when i went in dec, they had the 2007 12x12 album on sale, so i snatched it right up. i think it was around of less than $15. and i had two trips in 07 so i felt i did well with getting that one.
but here it is 08 and i haven't finished anything. it took us over 3 yrs to finally paint our living room. it really took us that long to decide on the colors. lol
